Become our Chief of Staff
At Positron it is our mission to help scientist-entrepreneurs turn breakthrough research into successful companies. We invest at the frontier of science — often before anyone else — and build the systems that help deeptech founders succeed.
Alongside our pre-seed fund, we also invest into deeptech funds in Europe and the US, and are launching the Positron Foundation to support high-risk, pre-commercial research.
Your Role
As Chief of Staff, you’ll be both architect and operator — helping shape Positron’s strategy, systems, and rhythm as we grow and develop.
You’ll work directly with the investment team — leading key initiatives across operations, people, communications, and LP engagement.
This is a high-leverage, high-autonomy role designed for someone who wants to become a core part of the Positron team.
What You’ll Do
Build the Engine of Our Fund
Design and run the systems that keep Positron operating smoothly and transparently — from sourcing to portfolio support and internal workflows to hiring, onboarding, and team learning. This includes making sure that information flows well, decisions are made, and the right structures are in place for the fund to scale.
Be a Day-to-Day Thought Partner to the Investment Team
Act as the go-to person to turn ideas into concrete internal initiatives. You’ll help frame problems, design experiments, and drive projects from concept to implementation — across topics like new internal processes, team culture, offsites, recruiting, and how we work together day to day.
Shape How Positron Shows Up in the World
Help craft and execute how we communicate with the outside world — from brand, PR and events to LP relations and fundraising support. This includes translating our investment thesis and portfolio stories into clear narratives, coordinating LP updates and meetings, and fostering community among founders, LPs, and peer funds.
You Might Be a Fit If You…
Have 4+ years of experience in venture capital, consulting, or the startup ecosystem
